To the Residents of Sheffield,
Most American cities have been in decline for decades. Ours is no exception. But I’m not writing to dwell on that fact—we all know it. I’m writing to tell you something else: it doesn’t have to stay this way.
It’s early in the race—but that’s by design. I’ve spent the last four years preparing for this moment. Attending every city council meeting. Working with our schools. Building the tools and systems our city desperately needs. Listening, learning, and laying the groundwork—not just for a campaign, but for a new way of governing.
I didn’t wait for a title to start working. I’ve already invested in Sheffield with my time, energy, and skill. From building a local jobs board and business directory to supporting fundraising for education—everything I’ve done has been about one thing: creating real, lasting progress.
Revitalization isn’t magic. It’s not a slogan or a silver bullet. It’s work. It’s small wins stacked over time, built with consistency, honesty, and effort. I’m running for Mayor not because I think I have all the answers, but because I know Sheffield needs a new approach—one built on transparency, momentum, and a relentless belief in our potential.
Too often, cities like ours lean on outdated institutions and expect different results. We chase tourism dollars and pet projects while ignoring the people who already live here. We measure success by ribbon-cuttings instead of everyday quality of life. That’s not how you build a future—it’s how you stay stuck in the past.
While others are content to manage decline, I’m here to reverse it. While others wait for funding, I’m designing systems. While others talk about what can’t be done, I’m focused on what’s next.
You deserve a city that makes you feel something. One that looks like it cares about you. Because our surroundings are not neutral. They affect our mood, our energy, and our sense of belonging. If we want people to care more, we have to give them something worth caring about.
This campaign—and this administration, if I’m honored to lead it—will be built around three things: Accountability, Communication, and Momentum. That means full transparency, constant updates, and a city government that acts like it believes in Sheffield—because I do.
This campaign isn’t a pitch. It’s a plan. And if you’ve been waiting for a reason to believe in Sheffield again, this is it.
